Lesson 1 – Module 1
There is a noticeable gap in the Biblical account of the creation of the world. As recorded in Gen 1:1-2 (KJV)
1 In the beginning God created the Heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
The earth was formless and void but the record is silent about heaven. It is logical to believe that the condition of the earth was noticeably different from that of heaven, that was why it was worthy of mention in GOD’s record. Knowing GOD also helps us to ask about the source of the darkness on the earth, for as stated in James 1:17 (KJV)
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Certainly, GOD as the father of lights will not create anything and put darkness in it. Gen. 1:2 does not reflect what we know about GOD.
